INNOVATE ELT 2024
By Oxford TEFL
WHY IS THE INNOVATE ELT CONFERENCE UNIQUE?
InnovateELT is an annual conference inaugurated in 2015. True to the name, our aim is to discuss the role of innovation in language education and celebrate some of the most exciting things happening around us.
The event attracts ELT professionals from around the world, from fields including teaching, training, leadership, materials writing, publishing, EdTech and more! Find out below why we think the InnovateELT conference is unique.
Additionally, at Oxford TEFL, we are committed to supporting the educational community globally, working together with CAMFED, our charity partner, raising funds through our Innovate ELT event to multiply the number of girls in school and accelerate their path to livelihoods and leadership in sub-Saharan Africa.
1. MAXIMISE PARTICIPATION
In addition to attending talks and workshops, we make sure that delegates have opportunities to interact and reflect with each other in structured and unstructured ways, should they want to.
2. INVOLVE LEARNERS
Learners are the life of our industry. We feel they should be present and contribute to our professional development and help make sure that we give them the best that we can.
3. BE INCLUSIVE AND DIVERSE
We are committed to promoting equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusivity. We hope to hear voices from people from all corners of our industry: Teachers, learners, managers, teacher trainers, writers, publishers, ELT Software producers. The conference is an opportunity to listen, discuss and learn from a range of sources and viewpoints.
4. EMBRACE INNOVATION
The conference aims to drive our industry forward and help build the future of ELT. We are committed to celebrating the innovation we see around us as well as reworking and improving the conference itself.
5. PROVIDE HOSPITALITY AND COMMUNITY
We extend a warm welcome, ensuring everyone involved is fed, watered and comfortable while having opportunities to celebrate the ELT community and build relationships with our colleagues.
